Last week we attended the Esomar Research Rally in Berlin – a 1-day event where researchers pair up with local start-ups who are looking to improve their business models, products or services.
Or more specifically in the words of Esomar: “Solving a business problem of a local start-up using data, research and insights while getting to know lean and agile methodologies and making connection to the next generation of research clients.”
It’s about bringing the two worlds together.
Thirty people were there in total, including 5 start-ups – teams of researchers were formed to take the briefing from each of the start-ups. The challenge for the researchers was to use the day to execute research to better understand the specific business problem, but most importantly to come up with concrete suggestions on what the start-up could improve, change.
Four from H/T/P managed to attend – Anton Kozka, Sarah Jin, Claudia Antoni and Janine Katzberg – and to our great pleasure one of the H/T/P teams (see picture above) won the award of Best Case.
We’ll share what the winning team did next week in more detail – but for now, we’d like to thank all the folk at Esomar for making this happen.
It was hard work but great fun, and extremely motivating to see what impact research can have – even in the space of just one day.
